On August 13th I went hiking with Spencer Smith and his brother in law Chris. We hiked Table Rock in the Tetons. When we arrived that morning we couldn't believe how many cars there were in the parking lot.

In fact there were so many people hiking, more than we have ever seen up there, we decided to hike the Face. It was Chris's first time to hike table rock and it was Big and my first time hiking to table rock using the Face route.

Face was a lot faster and a lot steeper. When we got up to table rock we had lunch and look pictures. My camera was being dumb and would only take a couple pictures at a time before it would shut down (my wife would like me to add that the camera works fine if your not cheap and buy .99 cent batteries).
We decided that we wanted to go out to the edge and see the Tetons from the lower ledge. It was beautiful and it drops off a good 600 yards to the bottom of the canyon. We threw rocks off and it would take 7 to 8 seconds for the rock to hit. That is a long ways.

From there we decided to hike through the canyon back to our car. We wanted to find other trails that were not as crowded and boy did we find solitude. We ventured off the trail into the wilderness and it was really neat. We had a good time talking and searching for trails. We never thought we were lost but when we got back to a trail we were relieved and thankful we no longer had to hike over fallen trees and over creeks.
The whole day was a lot of fun. We were tired and ready to go home by the time we got back to the parking lot. I was glad I got to spend time with my really good friend, Spencer.
Today I am really stiff.
