Here is Jeremy enjoying his oranges. Oh how he loves fruit.

Winter is Here
Jeremy is getting ready for Christmas by putting a bell on the tree.
We are doing this thing with wrapping paper, Jeremy can help decorate the presents by coloring on them after they are wrapped. It is really fun .

Today we had about a foot of snow so Spencer came home a little early to play with Jeremy.

Jeremy wasn't really sure what to think about it at first but his dad quickly showed him the ropes with a few dives and flips.
Jeremy would cry when Spencer would try to bring him in. Here are some pics from this last week.

A Warm Thanksgiving.
We couldn't stand not to be with Dave, Allie, and the kids at Thanksgiving so we packed up the car and headed south. It was so nice to be with them for the fourth year in a row. Here is Jeremy having a great time with his cousins. Allie and I went shopping in Amarillo on Black Friday and had a great time not to mention we both got the majority of our Christmas shopping finished. Go Sales!

New Pictures
There isn't anything new and exciting going on here in Iowa. Just thought I would post some pictures of the last few weeks.
This is the angry Christmas elf picture. Ever since halloween he loves to wear hats so whenever he finds one he puts it on his head.

Lookout basketball fans.

Mommy is so glad he likes to help fix things. He is also great in the kitchen making banana bread.
He loves to play on the keyboard.

Early Halloween
Luckily, we live about five minutes away from a really nice state park. For Halloween, they have all the campsites and campers decorate and give out candy. It was pretty fun. The kids get to hike up a candlelit trail through the woods and then trick-0-treat. Jeremy was a little unsure of the strangers issue at first and wouldn't take any candy. That soon passed, by the end he was running from bowl to bowl grabbing handfuls. Luckily his hands aren't that big so he would only end up with one piece. He is a cowboy this year. We will post more pictures later of our whole Halloween attire but for now here is a sneak peek.
Month in Review
So I will steal this great idea from my sister and put up pictures from the last few weeks. I am obviously not good at posting frequently so you all will get a lot, once in a while.
Spencer and I have learned that most of the time we get just as big a kick out of things as he does. Here we are riding his tricycle down our hill in the backyard. It was pretty funny.
Jeremy also really enjoys the excitement of BYU football with his dad. Yes, he is being brainwashed but it seems so far he loves anything to do with sports. He is mostly around older kids who play a lot of sports so that may be part of the reason.
He also is loving to color and we have experienced our first masterpiece on the wall. Mommy did not enjoy that. Over all we have had a fun month. Its amazing how many words he is trying to repeat now and how much more observant he is becoming. He still loves going outside which is about to come to a halt with the cold weather. Mommy "strongly dislikes" the cold weather. I would vote for hibernation if that were an option.

n o p i c t u r e s
Well, I am at work and I thought I would post a quick note so everyone can know that we have not died and fallen off the earth. We have been busy painting a room downstairs for my parents when they come at Christmas. We are excited about that and we are planning a whole lot of.... um.... whatever.
Jeremy is doing good. He is trying to communicate more. It is mostly crying and screaming when he can't get his way.
I am about the same as Jeremy, but I have learned to control my temper tantrums (the corner is a good place for reflexion). My calling is great. I enjoy working with the Young Men. We have planned this big war at Church for Priesthood meeting training with the Young men. We hope it goes well. We are going to have them build forts and then help them apply to the gospel.
Heather is great... oh she is great... and doing well at her calling with the young women. Whenever we do a stake young men's/young women's activity, we get to work together. They made Cinnamon rolls on Wednesday and they were good.
I mentioned that there are no pictures, but I may have Heather put some up. Love you all.

h e a t h e r
Oh, that was sneaky Heather... I do appreciate the stretching you said, it makes me happy. I do have to admit that I am the one that came ahead on this marriage. I have
never been more organized or have more ambition because of your support. You build me up and support me in all my escapades (even the nutty ones).
Heather is the best mother and wife that anyone could ask for. She is very thoughtful and spiritual. She reminds me daily of the importance to pray for guidance in my decision making. I love Her with every molecule of my body and find it very hard to stay away from her when I am at work. I love the walks we go on, the conversations we have and the goals we have set.
Heather I love you back and I hope we have another wonderful year.
Four Wonderful Years and Counting.....
Today is our 4 year anniversary. I don't want to gag everyone with our lovey doveyness, so if you don't want to hear it, stop reading now. I have the most handsome, wonderful, gifted, talented, sweetest, giving, PATIENT, lovable, righteous, steadfast, honorable, smartest, hard-working, self-sacrificing, etc., husband ever. I know some of you think that about your spouses too but for me Spencer is absolutely the perfect person to be sealed to for eternity.
I am so grateful for all of our blessings the greatest of which is the gospel and the love we both have for our Savior and all he has blessed us with, each other and our son.
Spencer, I love you and am very grateful for all you do and the example you are to me and everyone around you. Happy Anniversary!
Sports Fanatic
Last week we put up our tent after Spencer built me a fire pit for our anniversary. I really enjoy our backyard and we are both learning more and more about gardening and other outside household chores. It's fun.
We never did actually campout because it has started to get way too cold at night. Fall is in the air. I am really excited because I love this time of year. However, come January-April I get really sick of Winter. I guess I am more used to the milder winters of Virginia. Spencer grew up in Idaho so I think he is pretty use to the weather.
Labor Day Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend of getting things done and marching in parades. Here in Hawarden, we have a big celebration over the Labor Day holiday. We like to call it Big Sioux River Days. Spencer and I had fun turning Jeremy's little wagon into a horse and then they both burnt up walking in the kiddie parade. Jeremy seemed to have a great time waving to the crowd. He got a little trophy and a capri sun. Yes, he liked the capri sun better.

T h e y ' r e B a c k !
Heather and Jeremy arrived back home last week and I rejoiced greatly. Seriously, if anyone is thinking to go visit family for 2 weeks away from each other, I would highly suggest not doing it any longer than that. It is really tough. As you can see from the rest of the Blog that I did get some things done that I had put off, but I don't think it was because Heather and Jeremy were gone. It was because some of our friends let us barrow their saw and they were moving at the end of the week and so I needed to get the deck done. I was a vegetable the rest of the time. Memory Tag
Here are the rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
