My New Job

I have been working on getting a job for the last 7 months and at times it got frustrating. The last 2 months I was pretty sure I landed a job at BYU-Idaho, but didn't want to post anything just in case it didn't happen. I am happy to announce that I will be starting work at BYU-Idaho in the Spring in the Communications Department. I will be teaching 3 different classes which include public speaking, interpersonal, and media research. I am really excited about the job. I have wanted to go back and teach since I was there as a student, and I am grateful for the opportunity.

The Job is titled, "One-Year hire." But it could go a little longer depending on the need.

To top it off, my parents have decided to go on a mission because we are coming. They were hesitant before because they didn't want to leave their house vacant or rent it out to someone they didn't know. Since we told them that we might be coming my parents started the the paperwork and are waiting for their calls. We will be living in their house, my old home that I grew up in. I never imagined that I would be living in my old house again.

I am happy to announce that we will get our Friday's back and will be living in a wonderful community. I love Sugar City and can't wait to show Heather and the kids all the wonderful things that are there, like sage brush, sand dunes, mountains, ticks, and class 5 rapids.

Before we moved.

We went to the Omaha Zoo and had a great time.  It was a nice  break from packing.  Jeremy's favorite place was the monkeys and the tigers.  It was a really nice zoo, I am very glad we hit it before we left.

Spring is in the.... South

I looked out the window and found this white stuff falling from the sky and collecting on the ground.  I exclaimed to Heather that the it might be snowing again.  She quickly corrected me stating that it was only blowing the snow back in the air.  Of which I responded that, it was snowing.  She looked at me with her forehead and and said, "If you want me to stay in Idaho, then it is only blowing."  I quickly corrected myself.

But it was the weirdest thing.  It would snow like three inches and then melt by 4:00 p.m.  Then it would do it again the next day.  It made it difficult to load stuff in and out of the house.  By Wednesday it cleared up and it finally started looking like Sugar City Spring, dirty and dead.  The forecast did say that it would be a little warmer this next week.  We are excited.

Sorry for the boring post. I didn't know what else to talk about, so I talked about the weather.

Working, working and working.

We are working hard on getting the house organized and switched from my parents stuff to our stuff.  Jeremy is too little to help, but as you can see he is exercising with Grandma Haacke in order to get big and strong.  I will put him to work as soon as soon as I can.  We are about 1/5th the way through with moving in.  It is a process, Mom packs up part of the house and I load it into Dad's Truck.  I then take it to storage and unload it into storage and turn around and load some of our things.  I bring it home and try to find somewhere to put it out of the way so we can load more of Mom and Dad's stuff.  It is taking a little bit of time and mental effort.

I have to admit that we took yesterday off because we listened to General Conference.  We truly enjoyed all of conference and we can't wait to review the talks.  There is so much information smashed into two days.  Well, I have some Easter Pictures to post, but will do that when I get our computers hooked up.
