SNOW

So I have been catching up on some blogs from our friends and family. I noticed several of them talked about getting snow. They were sad because it melted so fast. I am just posting this to invite them for a visit any time they wish if they would like to play in snow. We just returned from Utah and had to hire a tractor to dig out our driveway. We can't really tell how much it actually snowed because of the drifts, but I can say that it was close to 3 feet in some places. Mostly our driveway.

Merry Christmas

We wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We spent the Christmas break in Provo/Salt Lake attending a wedding for Heather's sister. It was a wonderful time and we enjoyed spending it with family. It was nice to witness the temple wedding of which brought back so many memories of when Heather and I were married. I am so thankful for my dear wife and all that she does for me and the kids. She sacrifices more than I know, but I get a glimps as I am home a little more the last little while.

The kids are wonderful and it was nice to be around Heather's family for the Christmas Holidays. It was really nice to be with them and we had a wonderful time. We will miss them and look forward to when we can all get together again.

Again, we wanted to wish everyone a happy holidays and a wonderful year. We look forward to the changes that will be happening in the near future. We will let you all know when we know what we will be doing.

Love the Haackes

Trick or Treat?

We were excited to be in Virginia for Halloween with my sister and her family. Jeremy and Kierra got to trick or treat with their cousin Annabelle. We only went to my grandmothers and aunts house but they had fun. I started thinking about the flu going around and was afraid what may be handed out with the candy and decided not to risk it. Besides, if you have ever been to my Aunt Brenda's house or Mamaw Yates' house on Halloween you would know that if more than filled Jeremy's bucket. We also went to our ward's Trunk or Treat the week before so over all I think we have way to much candy! Here are some pictures...

We're Tripp'n

It has been a while since we have written anything and so I wanted to be the first to let everone know that we are doing well. We have had the opportunity to travel these last two months and so we decided to visit family. I have not all the pictures we took but here are a few from our last leg of the trips. We went to visit my brother in Texas and they are doing well. The kids were really good with Kierra and Jeremy. Jordan is like Kierra's Second Mom and Josh is a good example for Jeremy. After my brothers house we went to Virginia where we are now. We have been visiting Heather's side of the family and we have really enjoyed that. Kierra loves holding her Grandparents and Jeremy loves going on rides on the four wheeler, jeep, and toy truck. We are all having a good time. I hope you enjoy the update.

Mount Rushmore

Here was our fabulous trip to Mount Rushmore. It was very impressive but we couldn't stay long. I tried to line up Spencer's head with the others but as you can tell, his is way too big.

Here we are at a hotel one night. Jeremy loves to play with his little sister. He can't say Kierra very well, so he calls her Kara. We think it is super cute.
Here is Kierra showing him who's boss. Oh what fun.

Badlands, SD

We just returned from a little vacation. I will try to make several posts putting up some of our favorite pictures. Below we have the mountain climbers club. Jeremy loves to climb a little more than mommy is comfortable with. I can already see the sleepless nights I will have when he starts boy scouts.

You can imagine after being in a car for hours how fun this was!
Yay, I made it to the top.

Here is little Kierra's climbing abilities at the Badlands. Mostly she hung on to mommy and slept. She was so good the whole trip.

Kierra's Blessing

Kierra Rhea Haacke was blessed on Sunday August 9, 2009. We decided to do it the weekend my dad and grandfather would be here. They were both here for Jeremy's blessing as well. It was a beautiful blessing and a beautiful day. This picture is of daddy and grandpa getting her dressed that morning. This is Kierra with her great-grandmother Lillian Gobble.
Jeremy loves his little sister and she is going to love him.

Two weeks old and growing

Kierra is doing really well. She has already gained back up to her birth weight and more. She is a really good baby and we are so blessed to have her. So far she does really well at night. Jeremy loves his baby sister and loves to hold her. He tries to share all of his toys, books, and food with her. He doesn't understand why she sleeps so much. Here are some new pictures.

New Baby Updated Photos

Here are a couple with her cleaned up. This is little baby with her little hat on... she looks like she might look like Spencer. Spencer was hoping the she would until she is 21 years.

Here she is with her little hair... She has such long hair and eye lashes.. We both think she looks like Jeremy did. And here is the Video.

6 lbs 10.4 ounces

Here is the new little baby... (don't know name yet) She was born 18 and a half inches long and 6 lbs 10 ounces. This one I hope really doesn't show of things to come but there is a funny story with this... When the doctor and Heather were in talking (Baby) just cried and cried... But when I walked in the room she stopped crying and was very cooperative.

Now that daddy is holding her she is peacful and content.

Oh, I am so proud.

Join us later as we put more up... these are only the quick ones... She is not cleaned up yet.
